Why should I join the PTO?
If you would like to get active in your student's school and help improve the relations between parents, Poplar Creek and teachers, this is the organization for you! We organize many fundraisers that benefit your student's education. We also work to build a strong relationship with the community. In 2019Â we raised over $10,000 that went directly back to your children! Â There are no PTO fees, it is FREE to join!
Where does the fundraising money go?
We use the money in a variety of ways that directly benefit our children. In 2015 here are a few of the ways we used the money we raised:
Every grade received money for a bus for a field trip
Three all school educational assemblies
Artist in Residence who assisted the students in artwork seen in our hallway
All school Carnival Day
Library books and supplies
5th/6th play
6th-grade graduation and recognition
WKCE snacks and treats
Playground equipment
When does the PTO meet?
We meet on the first Monday of every month in the Poplar Creek library.
Our meetings start at 6:00 and are very casual and typically last about an hour.

How can I get involved in the PTO?
We think the best way to get involved is to come to a meeting! Our meetings are about a hour long, and are very causal. There are many opportunities to discuss questions, concerns and ideas. We welcome EVERYONE in the Poplar Creek community!
